Workshops
A workshop is more in-depth than a tutorial. Preferably, it involves active learning activities (hands-on or “pen-and-paper” exercises). The presenter is an “expert” in the field. Workshops are usually 3 hours long, and are held before the conference. Proposals of accepted workshops will be published in the Journal of Computing Sciences in Colleges, which is included in the ACM Digital Library. Workshop proposals must not exceed a length of two single spaced pages.
What should a workshop proposal contain?
Workshop proposals must include:
- A descriptive title
- Email and U.S. mail address for the contact person for the workshop
- A detailed description of the workshop
- Short biography of the workshop presenter. The biography may go beyond the two page proposal limit, in which case the biographies should be removed when submitting the camera-ready copy, which must not exceed two pages
How do I format a workshop proposal?
Your submission must follow the formatting requirements specified by CCSC, which may be found in the CCSC Manuscript Formatting Guidelines. You will have limited time between paper acceptance notification and final copy submission. Therefore, we recommend that you format your initial submissions according to this format to save yourself time later.
The LaTex formatting templates can be found here.
What do I include in the final manuscript submission?
The following items need to be in your final manuscript submission:
- final manuscript (paper or proposal), which should include all Latex source files (.tex, .bib, and image files) or the Word doc (with image files) and the generated PDF files.
- copyright release form (see Copyright Release Form section of https://lubaochuan.github.io/ccsc-editor/authors.html)
