We at MoSS owe our extensive programming to our generous donors.* Can't donate? No problem! Simply attending the museum is the greatest support we could ask for.
The Museum of Strange Stuff is committed to giving back to the community, because in the words of Uncle Elwyn "While stuff may be strange, nobody is a stranger.'' To maintain Elwyn's legacy of funding art, science, and history education, the MoSS works with both local and nationwide organizations like The Brady Education Foundation and Donors Choose in order to address education disparities.
We also fund discovery-based programming in-house and off-site in local schools. Some of our programs include Creativity Club, Find Yourself with Found Object Art, and Back to Nature. The MoSS staff regularly volunteer at community events. As practicers of sustainability within our Fairy Garden and Big Backyard, the Museum also helps to kickstart and maintain community gardens and support agriculture education within the region.
