Hermann Grid

The Hermann Grid illusion consists of a grid of black squares over a white background. Imagine the white lines formed as a result of the squares as streets. The point of interest in this illusion is the four-way intersections formed by these streets. Any intersection that you are not looking at directly will look as though it has a dark spot on it. As you will see, when we shrink or remove the squares, the dark spots will disappear.
