In January 2013, Mark Hoesly (Director of Global Education), Jonathan Brumberg-Kraus (Professor of Religion and reconstructionist rabbi) and Mark LeBlanc (Professor of Computer Science) bonded during a nine-day, whirlwind tour of four campuses in Israel. The objective: determine if the respective colleges (Haifa University, Hebrew University, and Ben-Gurion University) and their OverSea Programs (OSP) met the expectations of Wheaton College (Norton, MA), both academically and as a source of Israeli cultural immersion. We were likened by one hotel host as "three men in a boat" (a reference to "Three Men In A Boat (To Say Nothing Of The Dog...)", an 1889 novel by Jerome K. Jerome).
