What are LEGO flowers?
LEGO flowers are bouquets, orchids, roses, and even bonsai trees built from plastic bricks. Each petal, stem, and leaf is made from small pieces that snap together, so the finished flowers look real and last forever. LEGO sells them in its Botanical Collection, and many builders also design their own.
My connection to it
I started building my LEGO sets when I was a freshman at Wheaton. My first set was the Sunflowers. Since then my favorite set is the dark flower arrangement.

How to get involved
Start with one set
Pick a small flower set. Each one comes with step-by-step instructions, so no experience is needed.
Build at your own pace
Most flower sets take a few hours. Sort the pieces by color first and the build goes faster.
Design your own
Once you know how the pieces fit, try a new petal shape or a new color. Free building software such as BrickLink Studio lets you try designs on a computer before you buy pieces.
Join other builders
Local LEGO clubs and online communities share ideas and show off their work.
