Out of all of my hobbies the one I find myself enjoying the most is playing retro games. The Hobby entails either going out and buying the offical hardware to play these games (my personal favorite) or take the file containing an game and play it on a computer using an emulator.
I got into playing retro games back in middle school. The reason I got into it was becuase my parens gave me some of their old video games from when they were younger. I found them so much more fun and enjoyable then the games that get released nowadays.
The best part about this hobby is that its very easy to get into. All you need is a laptop or money depending on how much you want authenticity. With a loptop you can just download an emulator and get game file. If you want the more authentic experiance you just have to go out and buy the offical hardware.
If you choose to use an emulator, make sure you own a physical copy of the game as downloading a game file without owning an official copy is considered illegal in the United States.
