Welcome to the Web-based GIS Visualizer! Upon loading, you will notice a file is already plotted for you to experiment with! However, feel free to upload your own DEM files to begin visualization. Ensure they are correctly formatted DEM files ending in the correctl file type and have proper heading.

If you do not have any DEM files, go to the dropdown menu and download some of the example files there. I have included some sparse files so you can experiment with the interpolation method I implemented! See the text file in the zip folder to get details on each file.

If you would like to utilize the terrain reconstruction feature, ensure to upload a properly formatted file with a "nodata_value" line. The interpolation is implemented with Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW).

Explore unique features such as the scaling, unit changing, and treeline adjustments. Check out some of the extra features in the dropdown menu. You can strip the plotting window, or get all of the options to really contextualize the plot you are viewing. You can also even download your in the 3D printable format (.stl)!
