Creativity Has No Bounds

One of my favorite hobbies and pastimes is art. I have a lot of fun creating new things and new ideas. This gives me a creative outlook as well. Sometimes pieces I make can take days and other times it's just something I put together quickly. Though every time I have an outcome that I am so happy to see. A lot of the time with different mediums, sometimes they are physical and others they are digital. No matter what medium I'm using at the time, I always put my best foot forward. I want to leave a good impression of my work on anyone who sees it. So as long as Iways work my hardest I know I ca,n accomplish that goal, no matter how long it may take to make.

One of my favorite things to make is Minecraft skins. Over the years, I have learned how to make HD skins. An HD skin allows for more details to be seen on normal Minecraft skins. You do need some mods to be able to pull this effect off in the game. In my opinion, it's worth adding the mod to get these effects. Making these kinds of skins, can to hours. Sometimes I can even lose track of time while making them, either I'm talking to people or I am just having too much fun while doing it. But in the end, I get some of my best work out of these skins. The best parts are the small details When showing these skins to my friends, it sometimes takes them a bit to see every little detail added, and sometimes I add a lot of details. It can be something as simple as adding a bit extra to the eyes or even adding little things to the close. One of my most recent skins has actual boot textures. It did take me a bit to figure out how I wanted to pull it off, but in the end, I am so proud of those little details.

With the large amount of these skins I have made, I have gotten faster and faster at making them. In the beginning, it would take me hours to get a skin where I liked it, now it can take a matter of thirty minutes. It still does depend on what I'm doing with how long it might take me. Sometimes it takes more time than I expect. Partly because I love trying something new with each one I create.

Amount of Time a HD skin takes
Eyes 20 minutes
Full Body 1 hour
Accessories 40 minutes

How to get started

Return to home page

There are many ways for beginers to get into HD making. The first thing I would recomend doing is learning how to make minecraft skins and then go from there. Without prior knowlede it will be harder to express what you want if you mix the pixel medium of a minecraft skin with the HD addons that you will be making. Leading into conflicting ideas and a harder time to understand everything. Some good base minecraft skin making websites include Skindex and Planet Minecraft. Both are rather good and very useful. You can look at what other people have made and even use them as references to make your own skins. I started on Skindex years ago. Planet Minecraft can also be used for more pixelated HD skins. For the ones I create I use a seperate drawing program and resize everything to fit all the details. There are many different tatorials on how to make an HD skin, a lot being video formated Here is a good website that lays out what you need to be able to make an HD skin, "Create Stunning HD Minecraft Skins: Complete Tutorial". It will give you more information!
